100th Post!

After 18 months of the challenge, this is the hundreth post. To celebrate, have some video footage of me falling out of a boat. The footage was shot by Tim last April in Nottingham. This was a racing canoe and the narrowest thing ever to be put in the water. I think I did well to make it the 40 yards I did before this happened.

Nice!

(and next time you're going to need a bigger boat)

I did - and all thanks to you. I'm not sure if the sound quality is quite good enough to pick up your witty "How's it in?" as I fight the hypothermia in an effort to retrieve the boat. I almost certain it isn't good enough to pick up my response - which is maybe just as well. This is a family show.

I am going to need a bigger boat, yes - and maybe some stabilisers.

You cut the video before Beadle appeared. That's got to be worth £200 for Sobell (or whatever they pay on those idiot clip shows).

I just started paddling these racing boats and I can tell you that, even for an experienced paddler, they are tricky, especially in a double when you constantly feel that your partner is about to tip you in!

Good luck with your surgery and the rest of your challenge. It is a great idea and the blog makes very entertaining reading.

I just wanted to say that's brilliant!

So. Are you going to be repeating that part of the challenge in Nottingham?

Please?

I'll repeat my advice -- next time, start out in the four with three people who know what they're doing.

(And also -- that boat is a tub! But nice job, anyway.)

For the education of the audience, this is a racing boat.

No, Amateur, we're going to need a bigger boat - that one in the picture is so thin it nearly doesn't exist.

enjoyed the video. I'm not sure it was a good idea to have worn those flippers -- which I noticed popping up out of the water when you fell in..MY what LONG legs you have!! wowo
